Acquire Lean
To create lean you will need several items, namely:
- Styrofoam cups
- Jolly Ranchers Hard Candy
- Smite Soda
- Promethasim w/ Codeine
There are several ways to acquire these items, read up on this to get the full rundown on all of them.
From Buy Mode
You can acquire the Hard Candy and Smite Soda bottle straight from Buy Mode. Search for “Jolly Rancher” or “Smite” to find them.
From Computer
The Hard Candy and Smite Soda bottle can also be purchased from any computer on your home lot, along with the empty Styrofoam Cups.
Click on the computer, go to the Drugs menu and select “Convenience Store”.
The items will arrive in your Sims mailbox the following workday.
From Dealer
To get access to the Promethasim VC bottle containing codeine, you can buy it directly from your Sims dealer. Read up on how buying from dealers work here.
From the Dark Web
You can also buy Promethasim VC directly from the Dark Web on your Sims computer or tablet. There are some requirements in order to access the dark web, you can read more about that here.
From Doctors Appointment
If your Sim happens to have the Llama Flu, you can book a Doctors Appointment by clicking on the Dealing tab on your Sim’s phone. They might come back from the appointment with a bottle of Promethasim VC.
Drinking Lean
To mix up that purple drank, make sure your Sim has all the required ingredients in their inventory, namely:
- Jolly Ranchers Hard Candy
- Smite Soda Bottle
- Promethasim VC Bottle
Place an empty Styrofoam Cup on a table or surface, click on it and select “Pour Lean”. This will use up all of the ingredients and not only fill up that cup, but also create 4 additional filled cups in your Sims inventory.
Drink it Up
Simply click on the filled cup and drink it as you would with any other drink of anything in the game.
Effects
Lean will give your Sim a dazed buff. If your Sim drinks more lean the effect will be stronger, and last longer.
In addition to the altered mood, there is also a decrease in energy, and altered needs decay, as well as additional occasional buffs and debuffs, whims related to the drug and altered walk styles.
Sharing Lean
Placing filled cups of lean around should be enough for other Sims to autonomously drink it.
Side Effects
Overindulging is never a good thing. I am sure your Sim will drink that purple drank like a responsible adult, but if that is not the case, here are some of the side effects that might occur.
Nausea
The onset of the drug might trigger nausea and the urge to vomit. For Sims who have a high tolerance to the drug this effect might go unnoticed.
Addiction
Sims who keeps on drinking a boatload of lean will eventually get an “Addicted to Codeine” buff. This buff lasts for 5 days and is refreshed every time your Sim drinks more of that purple. If your Sim is not under the influence while the buff is active, he or she might get a lot of negative debuffs until he or she drinks more lean.
Tolerance
Your Sim can purchase high or low tolerance traits with relation to the drug in the reward store for aspiration points. Sims with a high tolerance trait to the drug will need more units to get high, Sims with a low tolerance trait will need less units to get high.
Note: If your Sim has a low tolerance to the drug and gets addicted, the low tolerance trait will be removed and replaced with a high tolerance trait. Once your Sim is clean and sober the high tolerance trait will be removed.
Overdosing
If your Sim drinks to much lean in the same sitting he or she might experience a non-fatal or fatal OD. Fatal OD’s are much less common than non-fatal ones. If your Sim has a non-fatal OD, the energy levels will plummet and he or she will eventually pass out. If your Sim experience a fatal OD, however… Well… Game over.
