Acquire Xanax
From Dealer
To get a hold of Xanax you can contact your Sims drug dealer. This is the most expensive option, however. Read up on how buying from dealers work here.
From Doctors Appointment
Seeing that this is a prescription drug, you can get it from a Doctors appointment. Simply click on the “Dealing” tab on your Sims phone and select “Doctors Appointment”. The session costs 100 Simoleons and is a rabbithole event.
If your Sim has a certain trait, or if he or she is uncomfortable, sad, angry or simply miserable he or she might return with a bottle of Xanax. If your Sim is happy and cheerful while going to the Doctor, he or she won’t return with anything other than a pat on the back.
From the Dark Web
You can also buy Xanax directly from the Dark Web on your Sims computer or tablet. There are some requirements in order to access the dark web, you can read more about that here.
Using Xanax
The Pill Bottle
To use Xanax, click on the Xanax pill bottle and select “Pop Xanax”. The pill bottle contains 20 pills, meaning it will get destroyed after 20 uses.
Effects
Xanax will give your Sim a happy buff, which makes stressed, tense, uncomfortable and angry buffs decay away a lot faster than normal.. If your Sim consumes more Xanax the decay will be more intense and your Sim will be dazed instead of happy, with an added sleepy walkstyle.
Side Effects
Overindulging is never a good thing. I am sure your Sim will pop pills like a responsible adult, but if that is not the case, here are some of the side effects that might occur.
Addiction
Sims who keeps on popping a ton of pills will eventually get an “Addicted to Xanax” buff. This buff lasts for 5 days and is refreshed every time your Sim pops more pills. If your Sim is not under the influence while the buff is active, he or she might get a lot of negative debuffs until he or she pops more Xanax.
Overdosing
If your Sim takes too many pills in the same sitting he or she might experience a non-fatal or fatal OD. The OD’s will only occur after the “Coming Up” stage is finished. Fatal OD’s are much less common than non-fatal ones. If your Sim has a non-fatal OD, the energy levels will plummet and he or she will eventually pass out. If your Sim experience a fatal OD, however… Well… Game over.
