Legalize Cannabis

Legalize It

To legalize cannabis, click on any Sim > Drugs > Settings > Legalize Cannabis. From here you get a list of all the available regions eligible for legalization. Cannabis is criminalized in all of them by default.

Simply click on any of the regions to change the status in that region from criminalized to legalized.

What Does It Do?

If you are in a region where cannabis is legalized, cops will not bust you for selling cannabis. And if they bust you in that region for selling or using other drugs, they will not confiscate your cannabis or paraphernalia.

Visit a Dispensary
By legalizing cannabis in the region you are in the Basementals Headshop option on your Sims phone will change to Basementals Dispensary. This will change the selection of wares you can purchase so you can get quality cannabis directly from the shop.

Player Run Dispensary
You can also open a dispensary in a legalized region if you have the Get To Work expansion pack. Just open a retail business like you normally would and start selling cannabis and cannabis paraphernalia.

This doesn’t mean you can’t open a retail store selling cannabis in regions where it is not legalized, but if you sell illegal products the SWAT will eventually come visit your store and take all your stuff. This won’t happen in a legalized region.
