When your Sim purchases pills from the assigned NPC dealer you might notice some new pills available. Which pills they have in stock still depends on various factors like which day of the week it is.
This brings the total amount of available pills marketed as MDMA by dealers in game up to eight. However, one or more of these may now contain PMA. If one, more or none of them contains PMA depends on the batches implemented in the latest mod release.
Stay Safe
With the addition of these new pills comes the importance of testing the pills with a test kit. Just like in real life, party hungry people, or in this case Sims, can increase their safety ten folds by purchasing a test kit and test the contents of the pills before popping them.
If you detect that the pills purchased contains PMA, best get rid of them as soon as possible.
Effects
The effects of PMA is not really comparable to those of MDMA, and the onset of the drug is vastly longer. The main cause of hospitalizations and fatal overdoses linked to this drug is due to thinking that the pill didn’t work, when in fact the onset is still going on, then proceeding to do more pills or other drugs. When the PMA then kicks in there will be problems.
The reason I felt the need to incorporate this into the mod is that it felt wrong (in almost a glorifying way) keeping MDMA in pill form in the mod without highlighting the actual dangers of consuming pills with no actual knowledge of what the pills contain.
Make sure your Sim parties responsibly and purchase some test kits from the nearest convenience store.
